Intellectual Property and information rights for librarians

Librarian Publishes Intellectual Property Textbook

John Schlipp, Intellectual Property Librarian, has written a book entitled Intellectual Property and Information Rights for Librarians. Posted number three on the "Literature Listing" awareness guide of new books reported by World Patent Information, this  textbook supports students and novice information users to become  intellectual property (IP) literate and aware of the vast range of IP issues. It covers copyright and fair use, patents, trademarks, scholarly communications, and legal and ethical information policies for academic, public, school, and special libraries. This resource provides real-world  scenarios and best practices. It presents the important topics of patents, trademarks, and copyrights in relation to intellectual property creators and consumers.  Although focused primarily through the lens of libraries, museums, and archives, this resource is helpful for students of entrepreneurship, electronic media & broadcasting, and fashion & sports business.

Purchase John's book about intellectual property from the publisher Libraries Unlimited or get it fast from Amazon today.  It's available in both traditional book format or as an eBook. Also, see John's regional history articles in the Northern Kentucky Tribune.
