The United Inventors Association (UIA) offers educational resources and opportunities to the independent inventing community, while encouraging honest and ethical business practices among industry service providers.  For UIA's listing of local inventor associations, SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) offices, and USPTO patent pro bono programs, see https://uiausa.org/resources-map/ .  The Inventors Groups of America lists  independent associations from across the country.
